Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that Indonesia’s external debt in first quarter 2017 reached US$ 326 bilion, an increase 2,9% from corresponding last year (yoy). Public sector external debt contribute 51% (US$ 166,5 bilion) from total external debt. While, private external debt contribute 49% (US$ 159,9 bilion). The ratio external debt to GDP in first quarter 2017 reached 34% decreased when compared to first quarter 2016 which amounted to 37%.
